I might have to try getting into this, though I doubt I'll be able to. I've had poor success lately making planned events. Silly baby.

That's why we'll keep posting the weekly episode schedule, on the chance that someone who can't be there every week can jump in if they want to, on any given week!

Any takers on the actual reading book club idea?

Another fine "Not a Book Club Night"!

"Times Arrow" (otherwise known as "Data's Head) is our next Episode for review (It's a two part Next Gen Episode).

I don't have Skonn's uncanny computer manipulation skills, so pretend the object below is a witty theatrical poster for the episode.....

Make that uncanny googling skills, I found both those posters on deviantart :P

Actually, Mark chose a different set of episodes in the end.. so without further ado, the weekly blurb:

Forum Image

(You knew I just had to use this pic)

TOS: The Naked Time (Season 1, Episode 6)

A virus has spread throughout the Enterprise, making every crewman shed their every inhibition!

Forum Image

TNG: The Naked Now (Season 1, Episode 3)

History repeats itself! How will two of the most reserved members of the D's crew fare?

Next week's meeting will start at 10 pm. EST. See you there!

Awesome! No troubles Mark, all Trek is good! ( well, maybe not Spock's brain).
I'll be on around 11pm, so don't feel pressured to wait.

Looking forward to it!

Since most of the group didn't have a chance to meet today, we're posponing til next week.

Unless anyone would like to suggest another pair of episodes? Remember, anything Trek is fair game!

So sorry for mission it! I had to take the girls at the last second and I didn't get home until late. I hope you were not waiting for me!

I am good with any strategy. I was only able to watch the TNG episode anyway so it will ether give me a chance to watch the TOS version or two new ones :D

I logged onto the mumble server to see what I was missing (I guess I was either early or late) - all I heard was some occasional tounge clicking or breathing. Was tired from a long day and logged off it. I'll make it next time.

Sorry I missed the meet as well, I ran into overtime at work and didn't get home until 3AM!

Good call Skonn, we'll keep the same episodes for next Monday.

Just a reminder.....tonight, bookclub.......be there.

We will be reviewing The Naked Time and The Naked Now. Which, if you Google them....you get a few "other" web pages, outside of the Star Trek reference.....just sayin'.....

I guess folks start assembling around 11-ish PM, EST.

This week's Not A Book Club was a huge hit! We had a great turnout, and a great time. I'd like to extend an invitation to everyone who's yet to join in to meet us next Monday, where we will discuss:

Forum Image

TOS "Mirror, Mirror" (Season 2, Episode 10)

Enterprise "In a Mirror, Darkly" Parts 1 and 2 (Season 4, Episodes 18-19)

The Mirror Universe! One of Star Trek's greatest contributions to Sci-Fi and TV tropes, join us in revisiting that most dangerous of realities, where the Terran Empire lords over all!

See you next Monday at 11!

It was fantastic! We had 10-12 people there and we even stayed on topic 3% of the time. I have to admit I didn’t think I would be this much fun but if you ever get a chance to come out it is a great trip out of reality and a little bit of gaming and computer history as well.
