We finished a war game drill with Excalibur against Enterprise yesterday. We have been told that we lost. Commodore Wesley informed the crew that even though we lost we should be proud because we where assisting in helping create Starfleet’s future. He did not go into any details about it. However, the rumor mill is running at warp speed and several variations on what that future is are taking flight.

All of that said I do know one thing for sure. Lt. Danaher was sitting at a table near me in Rec room 6 playing cards with several others. While they were playing I overheard him talking about the last communication the Commodore had with Captain Kirk of Enterprise. Evidently he called him Captain “Dunsel”. This floored me. How can you refer to the man whose ship just defeated 2 other ships Dunsel?

This makes me wonder what is going on over on Enterprise. One thing’s for sure I don’t think James is right about the ship being controlled by people’s minds. Of course for all I know Lt. Robert’s mutated cyborg theory could be hitting the nail on the head. I mean who in their right mind would allow themselves to be turned into a walking computer to run a ship more efficiently. Not me that’s for sure.

I wonder how Pavel is doing? I heard he was assigned to Enterprise. He is over there, maybe he can let me know sometime down the road if he is a cyborg.

Several hours later Shakara sat in forward phaser control. The ship had gone to Red Alert 20 minutes before but the crew had known it was coming. Weapons crews had been on station an hour before setting the safety interlocks. These would ensure that the phasers where not set above 1/100^th power.

Lt. Robert’s walked up “Everything ready here ensign?”
