Biography for Mitchell Lazerous Quest

Captain Quest generally holds himself as common and mediocre at best. He has always sought to find a quiet, safe post somewhere and maintain a low profile. Despite this goal (and it can be argued, because of it), Captain Quest has found himself, instead, at the very heart of numerous key Federation engagements. Strangely, aided by his habits of self-preservation; in seeking out the last place the enemy is likely to be, he frequently wanders into the exact place they're pulling off the most secret or critical part of their schemes.

While he is usually beset by bad luck, Quest is usually very capable of manipulating his way out of a crisis and in securing for himself some degree of prestige, whether intentionally or by sheer chance (which is quiet often the case). As a result Captain Quest, despite his efforts or intentions, finds himself being decorated for behaving is some manner of "heroic" fashion while all along his intent was to avoid the whole "bloody mess" to begin with.

Quest maintains his reputation of heroism primarily for its benefit to him; most soldiers around him obey his orders without question, and in his opinion, are more likely to willingly fight for, or protect him.

Of course, this habit has become so ingrained in his and in the consciousness of his superiors, that everyone expects him to volunteer for whatever particularly dangerous duty has just come along. Which of course Captain Quest accepts, with the intent of locating some far off secluded spot and waiting out the inevitable slaughter that is sure to transpire elsewhere.
