    Character Bio

Asturrial Bebanulli SindallaAsturrial felt ashamed about the lies Grebnedlog told to the nice giant ship with all the windows.  They only tried to help when they heard the fake distress call she had sent.  Her captain held one of their crew hostage, demanding he make Mondor strong.  How strong can the Pakleds become if they must lie and steal for power?  She was secretly happy when Grebnedlog was tricked in return!

After that experience, Asturrial was returned to her homeworld, along with the rest of the crew of the Mondor.  Soon after nice aliens from the Federation, who owned the giant ship with windows, talked to the Pakled Council of Five about membership in the Federation.  The Council asked for volunteers to go to Starfleet Academy.  Asturrial was so proud to have been chosen for this very important responsibility!  She would make herself strong, Starfleet strong, and most importantly, Pakleds strong.  The Starfleet officers were concerned about her age, but Pakleds have a very long lifecycle; she was still a relatively young adult for a Pakled when she boarded the shuttle to the USS Bohr.  She was excited to be aboard a ship with so many windows!

The excitement quickly wore off once Asturrial reached Starfleet Academy.  She was relentlessly teased by the younger, smarter cadets.  However, that teasing quickly dissipated once she demonstrated her intuitive ability with 3D combat in her second year.  She went from an object of pointing and giggling to a respected teammate and regularly placed in the top ten in the space combat exercises.  She showed a similar aptitude for ground combat, able to accurately throw photon grenades over 30 meters with pinpoint accuracy, and shoot bulls-eyes with her preferred weapon, a phaser sniper rifle, at 45 meters. However, her continued difficulty with classroom studies caused her to spend an additional year at Starfleet Academy.

Initially Asturrial had some problems with advancement, with her lack of a mentor causing difficulties maneuvering the Federation's political and bureaucratic environment, making her reach Captain last of her class.  However, with the Borg incursion into Deferi space and the diplomatic breakdown between the Federation and Klingon Empire, her skill as a tactician has enabled her to rapidly advance in the last decade to Vice Admiral.

As the first captain of her Defiant-class starship, and the first Pakled Vice Admiral, she got to choose a name for her ship.  She likes to play Disc Golf on shore leave, and the first time she saw her latest ship, she came up with the name USS Death Frisbee. While that led to some head-scratching at Starfleet headquarters, her crew takes it in stride and are proud to be a part of the "disk of death". She admits she takes a small amount of pleasure from the salutes her crew give her now, compared with the bullies back at the Academy.

After her ship’s involvement in a minor temporal incident, a few years ago she was approached by Section 31 to lead a small teamthrough temporal rifts to go back in time and save the best Starfleet captains before their untimely demise.  She suspects Section 31 chose her because “Pakleds are too dumb to question orders.”  However, she had several misgivings about these missions.  How certain is Section 31 that the time river flows the same way after changes like this?  Is it right to deny these captains the honorable death they chose?  So far all the captains retrieved moments before death have chosen to work with Starfleet, but what happens when one refuses?  These questions troubled her so much that she decided to discontinue her work with Section 31.

After her difficulties with advancing through the lower ranks, she has taken particular interest in helping junior Pakled officers navigate the ins and outs of Starfleet and the Federation.

    "We make us strong."
