With a change of employment requiring travel as well as duties to local volunteer organizations, I will be away from my STO desk. I cannot guarantee timely service to incoming members under these conditions, so it may fall to other officers to mentor new folks as they join the Fleet.

As we always say in the TOS Vets, real life comes first! We will still be here whenever you can spare a few minutes for some R&R. We'll leave a light on for you on Mariner 10 and we'll make sure the Orion Slave Girl keeps your quarters neat and tidy

I want to thank you for getting me started in the fleet. You were welcoming and you also gave me shiny stuff.
I hope you can find time to just play, without worrying about supporting the fleet.

You have set up a great system for support to our new recruits and it has helped to make them feel informed, welcomed and a part of the fleet. I appreciate what you have done for us and the Fleet and I look forward to getting what (if any) time you have available. Know that your position is safe while you are gone and that we will make sure that we respect any “free time” you have so that you can actually relax without working all the time

Make sure that you find some time to relax and I will keep an eye on the Orion slave girl in your quarters. I am sure she may require around the clock surveillance.
