I'm feeling a strong possibility that it's an expanded 'adventure zone'. Aka 'grind until your soul bleeds out through your eyes'

Hopefully a playable warbird will be involved and I'll forgive the rest of it.

rumor #1 : new full romulan faction ...to piss off every single klingon in the game

rumor #2 : new episodes, all about romulans

rumor #3 : romulan ships... boxes

rumor #4 : more missions and stuff for new romulus

rumor #5 : i love this one, a new romulan faction but it will works as the pandarien from WoW at level 40 or 50 you choose between to join or fed or kdf side >.<

I, for possibly only one, am sick of Romulans. I was before finishing their episodes once. Their chicks can be hottish but any short stacked asian or blonde Human woman has them beat. & Remans are just plain ugly.
Yeah, their system was destroyed & I honestly don't care.
Give me more Klingon & Borg episodes & let the stupid Romulans & Remans sort themselves out.

An earlier post by Dstahl seemed to indicate that the plan was just that. Playable Romulans that had to choose a faction (Fed or KDF). Whether or not that's part of what's coming up... only time will tell
